Volida’s Peak

Great cliffs that divide the villages of Iris and Frelia are shaped like an oak tree from a top down perspective. Originally these cliffs did not have a name until one fateful, stormy night. Mith, father of Chelsen and master woodcutter of Iris, overdid his work to a point that caused his body to be completely exhausted. Sickness took over forcing Volida and Myrian to seek help from the master of medicine. The herb they needed to save Mith was only known to grow on top of the cliffs dividing Iris and Frelia.

When Volida and Myrian arrived, Volida immediately starting climbing the cliffs asking for Myrian to wait. Although Volida was successful in climbing the cliff and finding the herb, they had an unfortunate slip that resulted in Volida’s death. Myrian was left to bring the herb back to save Mith’s life in exchange of her partner. In memory of Volida, the town of Iris named the cliffs after the master bard.
