Domhain Calendar

A description of how the calendar of Domhain works.

On the planet Domhain, all five continents experience Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. These seasons were established by the School of Nature when they started recording the cycle of nature that occurs in a year. After the School of Nature defined these four seasons, they calculated back to the first searchable records of the School of Nature and established that time period as the first year of recorded history.

The School of Nature continued to be the only school for the next three hundred years until the School of Science was founded. With the new innovations to manipulate nature, the School of Science was able to make some of the sun dials that were able to calculate where in a year they were without looking at the moons of Domhain.

For another two hundred years the School of Science continued to improve the Domhain calendar by noting repetitive phenomenon that would appear across continents such as days becoming shorter or longer or moon cycles' inconsistencies. These advancements helped society's plan for the unexpected phenomenon helping out argiculture, construction projects, and travel.

At the end of year five hundred, the School of Technology was founded and was also able to make improvements to the Domhain Calendar. Students found ways to mass produce calendars easily making them accessible to all citizens and public centers. Additionally, they were able to create devices that could accurately calculate time moreso than the inventions of the School of Science. With the School of Science's help, the School of Technology also made advancements in architecture preparing buildings for the different noted seasons and climates that they existed in.
