Crater Lake

One of the natural and indescribable wonders of the world is Crater Lake. Odd rock formations surround the body of water rather than sandy beaches. It almost looks like a giant scrapped a hole in the ground and filled it with water but forgot to fill it to the peak. During the dryer seasons, the lake will drop a considerable level, making it hard to fish in. When the climate decides to provide more rain, the lake can overflow causing a flood miles beyond its stony walls.

Some believe the nature of this dry and wet climate makes it hard for life to thrive, hence why the area surrounding the lake provides little to no vegetation. Others have theorized that some catastrophic event occurred causing all life to be wiped out within the radius of the blast. Regardless, the only living things that live remotely close to the lake are the people of Loch.
