First Description of Iris

Iris was the first village to exist, and was quite different from the current concept. This was an outdated idea as it didn't incorporate the Schools of Reasoning.

The small village where everything started. Located in a small valley surrounded by mountains and neighboring town Frelia, Iris is isolated and the people who live there are perfectly fine with this. All the inhabitants of this small village traveled to this specific area to make sure they would not be disturbed by anyone else. Many of the people who live in Iris are scholars, masters of the art they choose to study. Only the most prestigious scholars get to live in the “Circle of Dreams”. This is the nicest, most central part of the village where the fire pit is located. Villagers gather at the fire pit in the dead of night to trade stories of dreams they have had. Some believe that dreams are prophecies to a nearby future, while others believe that they can be deep insights into the person who tells them. Regardless, the people value a good story.

Unlike many of the other villages in the world, Iris is a village not looking to expand. Inhabitants tend not to have children in favor of doing research instead. Since most people came here to not be bothered, people seldom leave. Not many people know about Iris, and fewer people ever see the village in their lifetime. There is only one way to enter and exit the valley Iris lies in towards the south of the circular mountain range. Some have compared the valley Iris lies in similar to a bowl. Luckily it has never rained enough for people to confirm this simile.
