Last Stand Ruins

Out west of Saol is a large, flat landscape filled with abandoned buildings of some ancient civilization. Little is known about the people who lived is this once prosperous village as those who dare study the burned and decaying buildings tend to not come back the same. Most structures that are somehow still standing are on their last legs, with walls barely reaching above waist height. It is quite evident that most of this village has been weathered away over the years leaving behind a confusing scene.

While most people have dared not to venture into the ruins, and therefore haven't seen them, do know one thing: a pile of bodies (now bones) sits in the center of the village besides a well. Strangely, it isn't just a few bodies, but what could only be explained as the entire village. Not a single body can be found far away from this central spot. Although the details of legends surrounding this scene have changed over the years, everyone has come to an agreement that this village was a last stand. The well was were these damned souls were sentenced to death.

Even though these ruins are close to Saol and would make a great place for black market trading, even those who don't abide by the law choose not to meet here. The area is well respected as phenomenon not to be taken lightly.
