His power of healing makes him very powerful, and therefore a target as well. Soon everyone will know him, and he will become a target.
For a boy who has previously no sort of fame, and no desire for such, will be weighed down by responsibility. He never will be happy with the responsibilities thrown onto him. The only thing driving Chelsen forward is the desire to make sure no one experiences what he did when he was child. Making sure that even when he fails he’s done his best.
Eventually the world will be cured, and Chelsen will settle back down. He will go to a place where he met someone who said they would wait. Unfortunately, she will have moved on by the time he is back, causing him to travel until he finds his most desirable home. There, he will meet the love of his life. The book will end with the children having powers that he wished they would never acquire. It appears his bloodline is plagued with the responsibility of safeguarding humanity.
