Beag

Meaning: Small | Pronunciation: [be-ah-guh]

Beag's can be described as a tiny, round, rough-skinned creature that rolls around feeding on decaying plants. A Beag has no mouth, instead feeding by secreting a fluid from its skin that helps break down plants into nutrients to be absorbed by the skin. Most of the time Beag cannot be consumed by any predators, as its skin is rock hard. Beag do become vulnerable when feeding as their skin starts to soften. Any predator that does eat a Beag would be wise to kill it immediately before swallowing, as Beag are known for feeding on a predator from the inside out.

From a distance, Beag typically take the appearance of a rock. The ability to roll and make small jumps limits the Beags ability to live in any rocky terrain. The creature is not particularly fast, but the way it travels often leads it to be unnoticed by most creatures.
